dis post entry is specially dedicated to both of my brothers, Hafiz and Rasyid. Again, it's mainly bout their chess tournament fer national game 2009. *sorry fer da late post yeah* da game has ended about 2 weeks ago but yet i publish da entry.
before da tournament day
fer our infos,
- MSSM (Malaysian Schools Sport Council) Chess Championship was held at Goldcourse Hotel, Klang.
- The 5-day event is being hosted by Selangor state this year.
- There are two events - Individual and Team for six categories - U12, U15 and U18 for both boys and girls each.
- Each state will be represented by two players in the individual event whereas the team event will follow the four-player format.
- Both events will use seven-round Swiss system.
My lil bro, Hafiz, is playing for the KL team in the Team event. He plays the third board. Meanwhile, Rasyid, is playing for the Terengganu team, also in the Team event. He plays the second board.
Both of 'em are striving fer excellent as they has been chosen to represent their state. Alhamdulillah, Hafiz and his team [KL] was da champion fer U18 category. Rasyid and his team [Terengganu] got 4th place. Click - KEJOHANAN CATUR MSSM 2009 L18 KUMPULAN It's an impressive improvement fer U18 Terengganu team as it was on 12 rank last year.
